A friendly reminder about contingency forms (it's long, but PLEASE READ IT!):

1. If you are running races with us AND the host org, you need to fill out tire contingency forms to hand in to the USGPRU official for the USGPRU races, and tire contingency forms to hand in to the host org for the non-USGPRU races. The USGPRU does NOT process contingency forms for non-USGPRU races. The host org does NOT process contingency forms for USGPRU races.

2. If you don't include your Social Security # (or Canadian equivalent), the tire company may not pay you. If you don't sign the form where it says "Rider Signature", the tire company may not pay you. If you don't completely fill out the form, you run the risk of not getting paid the contingency money you have earned. I continue to hear that people have "privacy concerns". Well, the tire companies have tax concerns. They need your SSN in order to process 1099 forms at the end of the year if needed. Without your SSN, they have the right to withhold payment.

3. Please do NOT write anything in the Tech Inspection or Sanctioning Club sections on the tire contingency forms. Those sections are for the USGPRU officials to complete.

4. For the USGPRU contingency form, fill out the Contact Information ONLY. USGPRU officials will fill out the rest when you are sticker-tech'd. The exception to this would be if you have a competing personal sponsor that prevents you from running one of the required stickers - in that instance, please write your competing sponsor to the right of the sticker you won't be running. This will not only let us know that you won't be running the sticker (and why), but it will also give us information on possivle future series sponsors. If we see a significant # of folks with the same competing sponsor, we may ask that company to become a series sponsor in the future.

5. I recommend downloading the forms from our Downloads & Forms page, filling out the top section with your personal information, then running copies and keeping them in a secure place in your rig. Then you don't have to fill out that same dang information every single weekend.

Thanks all - here's to a great season!

All good points above. Re-read them.

Also especially if you are re-painting or re-stickering, it is really easy to have all the mandatory stickers on the lower fairing so you don't need to bring the upper, tail, and/or the entire bike by. Lowers are easy to carry, and we all know that when you get nice pics of you racing, all leaned over like we do, they show up great.

Sometimes, you never know, some green-shirt with a beer in hand might one day bring forms to you in your pits. It's been done before, get me a cold enough, wet enough beer and I have been known to do it. #Beer

1 point to add be sure to have any contingency sponsors you are claiming listed in your personal sponsor field.

Contingency is a form of advertising and your sponsor field is their means of advertising value of their product with your good result.

I'll have blanks at the track for you Vince. We're hoping to get the final-final version posted after this weekend ... give us an opportunity to ensure we haven't missed anything after running the first weekend.
So I'll take a handwritten one from you this weekend. Future weekends however, I expect the same level of professionalism from you as in the past ... already filled out on your computer, just like I like it Smile
